This page describes what this website collects and what happens to it. It is written in the same plain voice as the rest of the site, and every statement on it describes the code that runs the site.

Who we are

The site at daxiadata.com is operated under EU law and complies with the GDPR and every other data-protection framework the EU enforces. Write to contact@daxiadata.com for anything on this page.

What is collected, and why

Only the contact form collects personal data, and only what you type into it.

WhatWhy
Name, work email, organisation, messageTo reply to you and to prepare the walkthrough you asked for
The time the form was sentTo answer in order and to know how old a request is
A salted hash of your IP addressTo recognise repeated abuse from one connection. A hash cannot be turned back into the address, and the address itself is not stored
Your browser’s user-agent stringThe same reason as the hash
Whether the verification check passedSubmissions made without JavaScript cannot complete the check and are stored as unverified rather than rejected

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering a request you chose to send. There is no profiling and no automated decision.

Where it is stored

The form is received by a small program running on Cloudflare’s network and stored as one row in a Cloudflare D1 database in our own Cloudflare account. If a notification email is enabled, one email with the same content is sent to contact@daxiadata.com through Brevo, a transactional email provider; the row in the database remains the record of truth.

How long it is kept

For as long as it takes to answer you and arrange what you asked for, and at most twelve months after the last exchange, after which the row is deleted. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Specifically:

  • Analytics use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, fingerprinting or cross-site identifiers.
  • Theme preference (light or dark) is kept in your browser’s local storage under the key daxia-theme. It never leaves your browser.
  • Verification on the contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com only on that page. It is covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Because nothing sets a cookie, there is no consent banner. If a future change would require one, that change does not ship.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing, or ask for a copy. Write to contact@daxiadata.com; you will get an answer within a month.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, with a content security policy that allows scripts from this domain and Cloudflare only. Secrets used by the contact program are held in Cloudflare’s secret store, not in the code.
